As part of Smiles with Miles campaign, Prime Minister’s wife Dr Lydia Abela visited WasteServ during the Health Week being organised with the aim of encouraging employees to become aware of their health and wellbeing.   

During the visit, accompanied by the Minister for the Environment, Climate Change and Planning Aaron Farrugia, Dr Lydia Abela met with a number of employees.   

Dr. Lydia Abela praised this initiative and thanked Wasteserv employees for their work and for their help during the Smiles with Miles campaign.    

Minister Farrugia praised this initiative and encouraged other initiatives that give priority to employees health and wellbeing.     This initiative builds on several other initiatives to create a positive attitude towards the physical and mental wellbeing of all WasteServ employees after earlier this year WasteServ launched an Employee Support Programme in collaboration with Caritas Malta.
