WasteServ through its Contractor - OZO Services is seeking to recruit a Warranted Structural Engineer (Perit).

Position: Warranted Structural Engineer (Perit) 

General Overview of Responsibilities  

• To design, oversee and manage architectural and structural design projects from concept to completion; 
• Work on diverse and challenging projects, including both large and small-scale developments; 
• Carry out any required structural calculations and analysis for various projects, including making use of available software; 
• Prepare, review, and approve structural drawings, ensuring compliance with local building regulations, safety standards and EN Standards; 
• Prepare any documentation (such as method statements, specifications, reporting, tender documentation, cost estimation, timelines, etc.) required during the course of the project; 
• Submission of PA and BCA applications and taking over the role of Perit in Charge for designated project/s; 
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure project goals are met within budget and on schedule; 
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure work is carried out to the highest standards; 
• Provide expert advice on the use of materials, structural systems, and construction techniques; 
• Ensure compliance with all relevant permits, regulations, and standards; 
• Certify the works carried out; 
• Attend all obligatory training as required by the company in order to be able to fulfil the role whilst obtaining the relevant knowledge, skills and techniques.  
  

• Possess a valid Perit warrant (Structural Engineering) issued or acknowledged by the Periti Warranting Board in Malta, enabling the individual to practise their profession in Malta. 
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience post-warrant. 
• Strong knowledge of Maltese building regulations and construction practices. 
• Proven track record in managing both small and large-scale projects. A portfolio of works is to be submitted. 
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Tekla Tedds or equivalent and other architectural and structural design software. 
• Has a valid driving license and personal transport.
