WasteServ through its Contractor - OZO Services is seeking to recruit a Medical Doctor.
Position: Medical Doctor
General Overview of Responsibilities
- Overseeing the progress reports issued by the Health and Social Care team members within the Medical and Recovery Support Unit and provide feedback to the team members and Management as required;
- Liaising with external medical and social care service providers as may be required;
- Patient consultations at home both in Malta and Gozo;
- Patient consultations at home WSM facilities in Malta & Gozo;
- Performing pre-employment assessment to employees’ prior engagement;
- Performing a full health surveillance investigation of all employees;
- Monitoring and performing injury treatment, assessment, and rehabilitation advice;
- Monitoring patients’ conditions and well-being;
- Carrying out drug and alcohol tests for diagnosis;
- Management and administrative duties;
- Liaising with other healthcare professionals as necessary;
- Providing emergency care to employees with life-threatening conditions, until further help arrives;
- Providing triage in situations where employees are injured;
- Anticipating and responding to patients' wellness-related questions and concerns;
- Referring patients to specialists for further testing and treatment, if needed;
- Providing medical advice to management on health-related issues for employees;
- Vaccination (Tetanus, Hep A, Hep B, Hep A & B, Typhoid) including its administration to employees at all sites at Wasteserv in Malta and Gozo;
- Occupational Health consultancy services;
- Submission of detailed reports and documentation related to health and safety as requested;
- Following all applicable Wasteserv’s official quality, environmental, and health and safety policies and procedures.
- Any other duties as directed from time to time as instructed by your Superiors;
- Attending all obligatory training as required by the company to fulfil the role while obtaining the relevant knowledge, skills, and techniques.
Eligibility Criteria
- In possession of an MQF Level 6 qualification in a related field
- In possession of a warranted medical licence in Malta
- Able to communicate in English
