In line with Malta’s sustainable environmental and waste management strategy, WasteServ seeks to provide a national service through its waste recovery processes employed at the Multi Material Recovery Facility, in Ħal Far. The facility processes electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) as well as tyres, wood, mattresses, expanded polystyrene, and textiles. The collected materials are segregated, packaged, and thereafter transferred to other designated WasteServ facilities or to third parties for further processing as applicable. Each material is treated and processed separately with the aim of increasing the value of the recyclable material while maximising the use of space and efficiency.
